As someone who struggled for 12 years with infertility before finally getting the best surprise in life in 2022 (and wow, again now in 2023!) with two little babies in our lives now, I understand all the heart and joy and emotion that goes into creating a tiny human.
A huge congratulations to you and everything this means for you and your family.
Your motherhood photos are about taking the time to capture your energy, all the self-hugs as you anticipate your little baby and your beautiful, fun-loving self. You’ll have these memories to share with your children as they grow.
Maternity sessions don’t need to be fancy, they can be at home, cozy in your leggings, showing off your bare belly and boy-shorts in your bedroom window light, snuggling up with your dog or partner and just taking in these quiet moments.
But if you love the photos you see of mamas all dressed up and out in some beautiful field or nature spot, let’s do it!
Get glammed up and wear a fabulous outfit with your hair and makeup done. These are YOUR memories, make them what you want, I’m here to brainstorm with you for locations and ideas to fit you.
I offer a Maternity Client Closet and clothing suitable for new mamas too.
Nothing fits quite right after that baby arrives and you’re jumping into a photo session in the first 2-4 weeks with your baby.

Perfect for anyone who wants just a few cute photos of your baby bump with or without your partner and family in the photos.
Session includes a digital gallery with the best images from our session for you to download (approximately 30 edited images) in high resolution.
Locations Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville , Nanoose Bay, Qualicum Beach only for 30 minute portrait sessions.

All the candid fun, the laughs, and of course the perfectly posed shots.
This package allows more time to capture a few unique locations or extra time for kids/partners and lots of mama on her own.
Optional wardrobe change included if you would like a couple separate looks.
Lots of time at your preferred location to get the best backgrounds and candid moments
Includes full gallery of all of the best images for you to download (approximately 60 images)
Session Locations: Anywhere from Campbell River to Duncan

Our Express Session is best done in the first 5-14 days with your newborn when they can still be sleepy and posed when snuggling up.
Session includes a digital gallery of approximately 30 edited images for you to save and download in high resolution.
Session time is 45 minutes which is just enough time for a few photos of your little one and then some each with both parents and siblings. The time goes quickly but hopefully we have a sleepy baby to cooperate for cute photos.

Newborns are easiest to photograph in the first 5-14 days when they can still be sleepy and posed when snuggling up but Mama needs to have time to feel like herself for the photos too so we can do this session anytime up to the first 4 months to capture your precious baby.
Includes full gallery of all of the best edited images for everyone to download in High Resolution (approximately 60 images)
Session time is approximately 2 hours to allow time for feeding and outfit changes and hopefully a good mix of photos with both parents and of your little bundle of cuteness

If you want to capture the first time your baby meets their sibings or family or that tender first day or two while everyone is still at the hospital with all the emotions and quiet, cherished moments, this session is for you!
I will come to the hospital and take candid documentary moments for up to an hour with you and your newborn and any family who is sharing this time with you.
$290+gst for a 30 minute session
$499+gst for 1 hour
Newborn sessions are held in your home as candid, lifestyle and documentary moments. We have you sharing snuggles on the couch or in your bedroom, wrapping your little on in cute blankets or outfits and just letting them be. We can also head outside for a sweet outdoor session and I’ll bring along a blanket & basket for your little one to be cozy in.
My newborn sessions are NOT POSED with backdrops, props or other items except a couple of blankets or baskets when we shoot outdoors. I no longer offer studio sessions at this time as we have moved to a new location without a studio.
You are welcome to include your own little headbands or accessories. My newborn sessions are documentary style with just you and your family enjoying these quiet sweet little moments, close-ups and baby yawns and wrinkles.
Booking your Sessions
Maternity sessions are your chance to share some time with your partner or just celebrate your fabulous mama self.
Kids and pets are always welcome to join your session.
For Maternity and Newborn portrait sessions we can work together in my studio, in your home or at a beautiful outdoor location.
Last Minute Newborn Sessions may be able to be accommodated if your baby has already arrived, please reach out asap to check availability
I try to make each session unique and personal to you, including the location that fits your ideas best for these important life events
All newborn sessions whether in our studio or in your home, or outdoors, are Lifestyle sessions only.
This means candids and some poses but I do not include props or baby wrapping poses etc. You will snuggle up and may use a basket or blanket for some close ups, but it’s all about natural moments and candids of your baby and family.
You will receive a prep guide for your newborn session booking
Your Due Date and how many weeks pregnant you are and which sessions you would like to book
Location preference for session or ideal dates
Let me know if you are including other children or pets for either session
All sessions require a $100+gst non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to hold your date
